Native to France, Mache, aka corn salad or lamb lettuce, or fetticus, is a salad green akin to Tatsoi, contains rich nutritions including vitamins and minerals.

PLANTING

Mache takes up to 2 weeks to germinate so be patient, and you may find them grwoing slowly at the beginning (in the first 30 days). Prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Harvest at around 5cm - 8cm tall, or when 6 or 8 leaves are built. 

FLAVOUR

Crisp with a mild, herbal, and nutty flavour. 

CULINARY USE

Salad, or steam.
