Chia seeds is very nutritious and sprouting makes eating chia in more funny ways.
PLANTING
Sprout chia could be more difficult than other seeds. Better to sprout in a terra cotta disk.
Soak the terra cotta (DO NOT SOAK THE SEEDS) for a few minutes then sprinkle chia seeds on it. Mist LIGHTLY. Make sure there is no standing water in the terra cotta dish orelse the seeds will turn to gel. Put the terra cotta in a bigger container with lid, this is to provide a glasshouse environment and to maintain moist. If no bigger container, cover the disk with dome or paper towel. Keep mild moisture by misitng with a spray bottle once a day. Do not over water. They are ready in 7-12 days.
FLAVOUR
Fresh, sweet, delicious.
CULINARY USE
Add to salads and sandwiches, or use as garnish, or use in any way as microgreens.
REMARKS: The way this product (raw seeds) stored and packed is not purposed for ready-to-eat so don't consume (raw seeds) direct. |
