Chives is a very popluar herb in French cooking. Due to the fact it's similar to Spring Onion, it's widely used in Chinese dishes as well. It has a bit garlicky and onion-like aroma that makes it perform very well in most kinds of cooking. It's a typical edible garnish. It is also one of the Fines Herbs in French Cuisine.
