This broad leave variety can grow to produce 4" - 8" leaves, slightly arrow shaped. Sorrel is widely used in French cuisine. If you feel bored in using lemons or limes in your acidic recipes, try Sorrel. You will be surprisiing.
PLANTING
Sow seeds on well drained bed with well tilled soil. Keep soil moderately moist until germination. Normally Sorrel needs not of supplemental care.
FLAVOUR
Sour, with intense lemony flavour.
CULINARY USE
Sorrel is widely used to make various "green" sauces, dressings and soups. It is also used in different salads. |
