Lovely rounded tips 6-7cm chilli peppers. Jalapeno is one of the most famous Mexican originated chilli with Scoville heat unit 2,000 - 8,000, this is quite hot. 

PLANTING

Best to seed in summer as it prefers warmer and moist soil, it grows well through autumn. But if the soil temperature can be controlled at around 25^oC until germinated, it grows pretty well throughout the year. The amount of sunlight decide the hotness of the fruits.

FLAVOUR

It's spicy, but not very hot. When it grows to red it comes with some sweetness.

CULINARY USE

Pickled, stuffed, deep fried, can be eaten raw or cooked. It's also a common ingredient of salsa and mixed drinks.
